Blackcurrant and Ginger Wine

Run up to the coop

It’s called essence

A wee bottle 

One blackcurrant one ginger

Keep that empty bottle

And that one too 

I’ll need more than that

Is there one at the back?

Don’t go into the kitchen

He starting to boil up the wine

There will be a secret ingredient

And some made for the weans

Sticky drips down the side

Metal caps screwed on tight

Stored under the sink 

Kept cool and out of sight

Can a have a wee try?

It’s no ready just yet

Needs a few weeks to mature

It’s will be vintage this year

Go crack open a bottle

It’s Christmas after all

But just a wee bit

Need some left for Hogmanay
