Prostate Cancer UK Half Marathon

Story

On the 28th of May I will be running a half marathon for Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate cancer claims over 11,000 lives in the UK each year and sadly my Papa lost his fight with the disease last Christmas.

During his 8 year battle he fought it with dignity and courage, Right up to the last, my Papa wanted more time, he wasn’t finished. For our family, at age 68, it was too soon like so many others to go. Over this period new treatments and therapies became available and new research gave us hope. This is now too late for my Papa, But there are still thousands of men fighting on, raising some money will make a small contribution to the ground breaking research being done to help support and hopefully treat people with the disease. The charity also does endless work to help raise awareness so that more men can have a better chance through early diagnosis which is just as vital.
