Story

On Sunday 28th May, I (and my son Calum) are running the Edinburgh Half Marathon to raise funds in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

My Father-In-Law, Jim Sinnet, sadly lost his fight against prostate cancer on 29th December 2016.  Jim's courage and determination never wavered as he continued with new treatment options.  At age 68 it was to soon for him to go - Jim and all his family wanted more time.  During his 8 year battle, new therapies and treatments became available and new research gave us hope.  This is now too late for Jim, but I want to raise funds in memory of him and also for other's who are currently fighting hard, and to raise awareness so that more men can have a better chance through early diagnosis.

Prostate Cancer UK is leading the fight against prostate cancer.  They fund groundbreaking research, drive improvements in treatment and fight injustice in care.  They have now set themselves the roughest challenge yet: to stop prostate cancer being a killer.
